PILLAR 1
Direct Relief
School partnerships: Schools are our primary distribution channel — stocked hygiene closets and discreet care packages distributed through counselors and nurses, so families can access help without stigma.
Laundry support: Laundromat vouchers/token system for families without a washer and dryer, and laundry detergent/soap provided directly to families who have a washer and dryer at home so they can wash clothes themselves.
Hair care: Basic hair-care products, plus vouchers for haircuts.
Toiletries & paper goods: Soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and other toiletries, along with toilet paper/toilet tissue and paper towels.
Basic-needs pantry: Toiletries and household essentials, modeled on a food-pantry distribution approach.

Program requirement:
Families receiving Direct Relief items attend a required 1-hour workshop on how the lack of hygiene and basic-needs items is linked to poor self-esteem and long-term mental health, connecting Pillar 1 support directly to Pillar 2 education.

PILLAR 2
Education & Awareness
Training for school counselors, pediatricians, and social workers to recognize hygiene poverty as a mental-health and wellness indicator.
Public awareness campaigns on the link between poverty-related shame and long-term mental health outcomes.
Parent-facing workshops and materials to reduce isolation and normalize the systemic nature of this gap.

Why Illinois First
The founder's clinical practice and professional reputation are established in Illinois.
A single state of incorporation keeps startup filing and compliance simple.
Wisconsin outreach (education and awareness, not bound by clinical licensure) is planned as a phase-two expansion.
